The editorial goals for the Directory are inclusiveness and ease of use. Content for listings should be focused on the identification and basic description of gamelan ensembles and closely related performing arts entities in the United States.
Many of the listed entities provide additional information about themselves on their own websites and some also maintain extensive collections of reference information online. The Directory strives to promote awareness of those resources without duplicating their content.
