El Club del Gamelan — Experimental Gong Kebyar based in Buenos Aires. El Club del Gamelan is an artists collective that reinterprets Balinese gamelan music. With a collaborative approach, the project aims to share the cultural richness of the island of Bali. The ensemble combines classic Indonesian instruments with experimental designs crafted in Buenos Aires. Electroacoustic gongs, car shock absorbers, and amplified pots complete the group's soundscape. It is the first grassroots Balinese gamelan ensemble in the South American region. The project also functions as a sanggar — a living school — hosting monthly beginner workshops and socio-community music therapy programs, both coordinated by the ensemble's director, Juan Pablo Pereyra, a graduate in Music Therapy from the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA)
