Linda Burman-Hall
This analysis examines Warna, a 1990 composition by Sundanese composer Nano S., created during his residency at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Through a twenty-one section structure, Warna blends traditional Sundanese materials with experimental combinations of timbre, rhythm, and instrumentation, reflecting both cultural heritage and personal narrative.
