Gamelan Genthasari (Pantcha Indra Company)

The Genthasari group is a gamelan music ensemble specializing in the Javanese style, consisting of about twenty musicians. This set was created at the University of Nanterre (Paris X). The founding members of this group studied this music thanks to the gamelan workshops offered by the Cité de la Musique in Paris, then perfected themselves in Java with great musicians from the Javan musical tradition such as Sri Joko Raharjo, Joko Susilo, Wahyu Santosa Prabowo or Rahayu Supanggah. The group is currently led by Christophe Moure (2011-today).
