Pujangga Laras is a freeform klenengan ensemble of master traditional/classical musicians and singers in Solo, Central Java. Pujangga Laras meets anywhere from 6 to 12 times per year (depending on funding collected), from 8pm to 2am. Sometimes the pieces and instrumental positions are set and sometimes there is a lot of moving around on instruments as well as in-the-moment repertory choice. Pujangga Laras is not open to players from overseas, but rather is an event to use for study and observation if you are a foreign student. Every Pujangga Laras event is live-streamed onYouTube, at Punakawan Solo Channel.
