Suara Jaya

Sydney Balinese gamelan ensemble founded in 2014, performing traditional through to newly composed works. Many members have travelled to Bali for lessons and performances, maintaining strong links with Balinese musicians. Uses instruments from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (semara dana), the Australian Museum (gong kebyar), and rehearsal space at the University of Sydney. New members welcome.
