Gelas 1091 (score)

Composed by Pande Made Sukerta in 1991, Gelas 1091 is an 8–9 minute piece for about 17 players, written during the New Music Indonesia residency at Rutgers University. Featuring suling, bell tree, and glasses with movement-based staging, it was performed by Indonesian and American musicians in the program Gamelan: a composer’s orchestra. Sukerta, a Balinese composer and teacher at STSI Surakarta, is noted for his work in composition and international performance.
