The American Gamelan Institute undertakes a wide variety of projects each year. These include looking for and preparing new articles for BALUNGAN; creating databases of video, audio, and print items in the Archives; translating articles of interest to our to community, from Indonesian to English, as well as the reverse. AGI organizes festivals and concerts, with visits by guest artists. We also have a strong education program, with materials and processes from many years in the schools.

For the preparation of BALUNGAN, there is a particular need for copy editors, as well as those with skills in InDesign, Dreamweaver, and, to a lesser extent, Photoshop.
